Rob and Marty Fenton Frear met while performing with the Palm Springs Symphony West in February, 1983. They were married in Jerusalem in December, 1987 and lived in Ramat Aviv, Israel, until the first Gulf War brought them back to their native Los Angeles. Rob is a Professor of Music at California State University Long Beach and a founding member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Marty is Librarian for the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. They currently reside in Lakewood, California.

Career highlights for Rob include performing Mahler's Fifth Symphony in Leningrad with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and a performance of Mahler's Second Symphony at Masada, again with the Israel Philharmonic. Carrie Underwood, Chicago, Earth, Wind and Fire, Garth Brooks and Journey round out Rob's favorite performances.

Marty was there stride-for-stride in Israel, and has also performed with the Three Tenors and several other feature acts.
